I have always loved watercolour painting and use a pure watercolour style using little or no white paint but letting the paper show through.  For my own original work I use a very heavy weight of paper that allows the application of the intense deep pigments in heavy washes. I paint representational subjects, often animals and people expressing my own inner interpretation and feeling through style of content and colour using the texture and technique of watercolour painting to create fluid vibrant paintings.

Now responding to the wonderful coastline and light of the North Coast of Devon and Cornwall much of my most recent works reflects my experience of the landscape and seashore
